My younger brother's wedding is coming up in just a week. In order to make a great impression at the wedding and mark my place in the world as an capable homemaker, I decided that I should make my own skirt for this occasion. With the help of Erin Bradley, we cut out the pattern, pinned, pressed, sewed into the wee hours of the morning, and rejoiced in our finished project. The project even included many phone-a-friend lifelines. This was a great learning experience for me in the land of sewing. However, I think that it might just be worth it to buy something at the store - even full price (whoops... I shouldn't say that...it might take away from my Martha Stewart status.)

Looks amazing. No one dare doubt your Martha Stewart prowess now.
Where did you come up with such a clever title?
I can't believe there's an eHow on finding time for sewing. Someone rated it 4/5 stars, which I agree with. That extra star would have required tips on mounting your Pfaff to the dashboard of your car for those on-the-go types. Combine that with the tip on using a phone headset, because you can't hold a phone while doing a zig-zag stitch down the highway - you need both hands to feed that fabric. You don't want it bunching up!
wow! That's great Mandy. I am so impressed. And it looks great on you.
Yes, this is Angela. The one and only. It does my heart good to know you remember. (sigh!)
I love seeing what you are up to. And I can't believe you are friends with the Erin Bradley. Give her a hello for me. Does this mean you know Jamila Squires too? I'm glad to see you went touring in your own town too. You are truely an inspiriation. :)
