Trent's Graduation

May was a bit crazy. After my family came into town, a series of unfortunate events began to unfold. On an early morning, I was leaving my apartment to go testify in court for a client. When I got to my car, the window had been broken and my GPS and sunglasses were stolen. I could understand the GPS but the sunglasses? I was really annoyed about the sunglasses. Maybe I still am. Luckily it was fixed soon. The next week I lost my wallet in DC. I went on a frantic search to determine if I could find it. Again, I was lucky to find it with a street vendor and everything was in its place. As I type them now, they don't sound so stressful. I guess it was the fact that they happened weeks before the wedding.

Now onto a great thing that happened in May.

Trent graduated in May. After three years of studying, he now gets to study even more for the Bar Exam that he will take in July. For his graduation, his mother and little brother Dakota flew in to DC, enjoyed the sites, and cheered Trent on at graduation. Neither of them had visited DC so it was fun to take them to all the spots. I am sure that Trent was a great tour guide. I was able to spend some time with them over the weekend. When they first got off the plane, Trent took them to the Alexandria docks. We walked through a huge ship. Dakota thought it was a pirate ship and he said "arrggghhh matey" the rest of the night. Then we saw a one man band playing on the docks. Dakota was able to join in with the maracas. It was such a fun time!
