I was recommended a salon in Sandy by a friend and ended up having a wonderful hairstylist. She had just moved to Sandy from NYC. We had so much to talk about that morning. At the end of the appointment she told me that she had never seen a more relaxed bride. She should have seen my a week before. I was not as composed and was a little afraid of changes that would be coming. By the wedding day, all those fears were gone. After the appointment we drove straight to the temple where I did my makeup with only one good eye. I met Trent outside and we went in the temple together. Before our sealing, we met with someone to go over all the paperwork. We were asked for the marriage license and I could not find it anywhere. I had no idea where it was! I ran our of the room and asked my mother if she knew where it was. She and I ran out to the car and luckily it was there. Crisis #2. Thank goodness for Mary getting me my contacts right in time for the sealing.

The sealing itself was wonderful. There was such a feeling of peace and love in the room. As we walked into the sealing room, I was so happy to see each person there. It might be the only time when most the people you love are in the same room.
I was excited to work with our photographer and he had set up for us to go on the mountain near the Draper temple and take pictures with the temple in the background. When we got there I had to hop over a fence in my wedding dress. I felt right at home. We were happy about this picture but realized that we were going to be late for our luncheon, almost 30 minutes late. Crisis # 3. When we got there, people were eating and they had all made their introductions. My brother's friend was a hit when he introduced himself as my first love. Then our parents said a few words. My parents said they were happy that I was finally married and they wanted grandchildren right away. Trent's mother said that she wanted grandchildren but not too soon. We will with her recommendation. Then a few of our friends said a few things. The best speech was by Trent's little 9 year old brother. he said, "I first met Mandy last Christmas. We went and stayed some days at her house and we had a mega party at Collin's house." Then he sat down.
The reception was held at the Draper City Historic Park. It was the most beautiful park that had a gazebo in the middle. All the work done beforehand paid off and I loved the site. As Trent was helping unload the food, he spilt meatballs all down his suit. Luckily he was not wearing his tux at the time. His mother rushed the suit to the dry cleaner. Crisis # 4. The reception was fantastic. Everything flowed well as we greeted our guests. We cut the cake and then I danced with my father. Trent and I had prepared our first dance. He is a great dancer and every time we would practice the dance I would laugh out of sweet joy.
