Christmas time is a brewing season for my own guilty pleasure. However, I am proud to own up to this: I love cheesy Christmas movies. I know they are cheesy, I know they are ridiculous, and I know they have no substance. However, I get sucked into their illogical plots and laugh at their poor dialogue. It is a thrill that I can not quite explain. For instance, the other night I was so excited for the new ABC Family debut of Holiday in Handcuffs. It starred Sabrina the teenage witch and A.C. Slater. The premise was that a woman kidnaps a man to be her pretend boyfriend and meets her family. They end up falling in love. Why......why do I find this incredibly entertaining? Even my mother finds it entertaining. She called me the other day and told me that she was recording all of the cheesy Christmas movies so we can have a Christmas movie marathon!!!This does not just end with Christmas movies but also applies to Christmas music. My favorite indulgence this Christmas season has been Last Christmas by Wham. Every time this song comes on I can not help but just dance along to it. And the music video is just fantastic.
I thank all of my friends and family for loving me enough to just laugh at my appreciation for such holiday cheese.

Mandy, I love that you love the cheesy Christmas specials!! I feel it is my turn to be honest as well...I like them too! I get sucked in every single time and at the end, I wonder why I watched it but even more, I wonder why I liked it so much :)
Yes yes yes!!! That is exactly how it is. I know what we will do for girl's night out (more like girls night in.)
May I earnestly make a reccomendation for my own personal favorite cheesy Christams movie... "All I Want For Christmas" made in 1991. It's an actual movie and I know they've made a new tv movie with the same name this year, but they are not the same. So please go enjoy it, maybe you can include it in your girls night in. (As a side note, I've always hoped that I may someday have a daughter as cute as the one in this film and have every intention of making her sing "Baby It's Cold Outside" while one of my other prodigy children play the piano. you'll have to watch the movie). Love you!
Christmas would not be Christmas without cheesy holiday movies. I even have to watch the holiday cartoon classics. I'm such a sucker for cheesy! I love it!
oh! i wanted to watch that last night but bren came home...and you know he's not going to put up with that crap. ha ha.
Leah -- thanks for the recommendation. I will add it to the list.
Also, thanks to all of you for sharing that you also like the cheesy holiday movies!!!
Remember that time that Dan and Peter watched the lifetime movie Chistmas Switch on my couch? Remember how they got into it and cheered at the end?
I love them.
Can I just say it was the worst movie I have ever seen and loved every minute of it.
Disappointed Nicole Eggert didn't go back though the dryer to reality.
Dan -- it was loves true kiss that brought her back. That is so romantic. *Sigh*
However, I also would have liked to see her crawl through the dryer again.
I liked the part when Millie, Dan, you, and me all jumped off the couch to yell at Paula (Nicole Eggert) not to kiss Gary. That was awesome.
